"The Adventures of Pete & Pete" was a classic Nickelodeon TV show that was about two brothers called Pete (Big Pete Wrigley, played by actor Mike Maronna), and Pete (Little Pete Wrigley, played by actor Danny Tamberelli), their parents, Mom Joyce Wrigley (Judy Grafe) who had a metal plate in her head, and dad Don Wrigley (Hardy Rawls), their friends, including Ellen Josephine Hickle (Alison Fanelli), Artie, the Strongest Man in the World (Toby Huss) and Nona F. Mecklenberg (played by Nickelodeon Movie "Harriet The Spy" actress and star Michelle Trachtenberg), enemies, including "Endless" Mike Hellstrom (Rick Gomez) and Little Pete's School Principal Ken Schwinger (Adam West), and the other members of their neighborhood where they lived (Wellsville) (their neighbours), including James "Pop" Mecklenberg (Nona F. Mecklenberg's father) (Iggy Pop), and was set in the fictional North American town of Wellsville, USA. "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" featured humorous and surreal elements in its narrative, and many recurring themes centered on the two brothers both named Pete Wrigley, and their various interactions with family, friends, and enemies.
"The Adventures of Pete & Pete" began as minute-long shorts in 1989 that aired in between regular programmes on Nickelodeon. Owing to the popularity of the "Pete And Pete" shorts, five half-hour specials of "Pete And Pete" were made, followed by a regular half-hour series that ran for three seasons between 1993 and 1996, and was filmed largely in Cranford, New Jersey, USA. The "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" theme song that played during the opening titles of "Pete & Pete" was the song "Hey Sandy" by the band "Polaris".
The Nickelodeon Movie "Snow Day" was writen by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi, the creators of the Nickelodeon TV show "The Adventures of Pete & Pete", and was originally intended to be a "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" movie.

The classic Nickelodeon show "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" was about "The Midnight Society", who were a group of teenagers who, every week at a secret location in the woods, would take turns to tell the other members of "The Midnight Society" a scary story. The actual story, rather than the telling, was displayed to the television viewer. Each storyteller would begin their story by saying "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story...", and each horror story title begun with "The Tale of...", like "The Tale of the Phantom Cab".

Two Spooky Episodes Of The Nickelodeon Short "The Presentators"
The Presentators 'Spooky Story'
The Presentators: Aliens
Below is a description about the Nickelodeon short series "The Presentators" from Aardman's official "The Presentators" website on the official Aardman website:
The Presentators - Directed by Wee Brian, Dan Lane & Stefan Marjoram (2003-2004)
What happens when three anarchic cartoon characters are given the chance to front their own TV show on Nickelodeon? The Presentators provides the hilarious answers. Stefan, Brian and Dan, the heroes of Aardman’s award-winning short film The Deadline, confront burning issues of the day such as whether aliens walk among us and the difference between a stick insect and a plain stick. Created, written and voiced by three of the company’s CG animators (who uncannily also go by the names of Stefan, Brian and Dan), the series combines the technical possibilities of computer graphics with the quirky characters and comedy for which Aardman is renowned.

I had a tremendous opportunity this fall to develop 3 network ID’s for the Halloween holiday for Nick on-air. I work for Nickelodeon as an animator and multimedia designer in its preschool digital online group (what a mouth-full). That said when I was offered the chance to work on these I was more than happy to jump on it. I worked with the VP of Brand Creative to direct these three spots that aired in the 8 to 9 days before October 31st, 2010. The characters were designed on paper, the storyboards were created in Storyboard Pro and the animation was all done in Animate Pro. The 3D Nick logo was created in the open source 3D program, Blender. All in all I had a terrific time working on this and working with my co-workers and freelancers who are always so generous with advice and help, especially my boss Renato who gave me the time to work on these. It was also great to see it on air!

Nickelodeon's "Victoria Justice "All I Want Is Everything"" Campaign Walkthrough
Nickelodeon Campaign Walkthrough from Lex Halaby on Vimeo.
The idea of the Nickelodeon, Sony Music Entertainment, Lex Halaby, and Victoria Justice "Victoria Justice "All I Want Is Everything"" campaign was to have a story which spanned all three phases (Music Video, Online Interactive, and a Live Event starring Victoria Justice) and to keep Victoria Justice and "Victorious" fans and viewers engaged.
To promote Victoria Justice's new music single "All I Want Is Everything", Nickelodeon, Sony Music Entertainment, Lex Halaby, and Victoria Justice made a music video for the song "All I Want Is Everything" which featured Victoria Justice recording and sending webcam videos a fictional male character called "Dean Stanland", who was created especially for the music video.
Nickelodeon, Sony Music Entertainment, Lex Halaby, and Victoria Justice also planted clues on how fans and viewers of Victoria Justice and "Victorious" could interact follow the continuing story of the music video online and via telephone calls, these included showing the website address of a fictional social network website called FriendBookster.com, that when viewers of the music video type in to their Internet browsers address bars, redirects them to Dean Stanland's Facebook profile, which features photographs and fictional informational about the fictional male character Dean Stanland from the "All I Want Is Everything" music video, information about the first ever "Victorious" cast flashmob, and exclusive comments and webcam videos from Victoria Justice, and showing Dean Stanland's telephone number - (310) 341-7677 (please note that Nickelodeon TV Media cannot be held responsible for any telephone charges incurred by ringing that telephone number) which is a real working telephone number that Nickelodeon, Sony Music Entertainment, and Lex Halaby set up so that viewers of the "All I Want Is Everything" music video could ring up and leave voice messages for Dean Stanland, and hear exclusive messages from Dean Stanland (voiced by Lex Halaby) that "he" recorded on his voicemail machine, including where the "Victorious" cast flashmob location would be (you can listen to a couple of Dean Stanland's voicemail messages on the video above). Nickelodeon, Sony Music and Lex Halaby also created a Twitter account for Dean Stanland, who Victoria Justice first told the world about by posting a link to Dean Stanland's Twitter page on her own official Twitter page before the official music video for "All I Want Is Everything" was released.
"The Nickelodeon Campaign Walkthrough" video above also features footage of the first ever "Victorious" flashmob, which picked up from where the "All I Want Is Everything" music video left of, and featured the cast of the Nickelodeon show "Victorious" singing and dancing at Universal CityWalk Hollywood Los Angeles, California, USA, with Victoria Justice and Dean Stanland finally meeting at the end, and behind-the-scenes footage of the "Victorious" cast flashmob which was held at Universal CityWalk Hollywood Los Angeles, California, USA.

Nickelodeon UK - "Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" Opening Titles, Stings And Promo
The "Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" opening titles/intro and stings were made by Sheffield creative studio agency "PIXEL DNA".
"Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" Opening Titles
Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend - Title Sequence from Pixel DNA on Vimeo.
Pixel DNA has created the brand & title sequence for Nickelodeon’s new weekend show ‘Jamie & Anna’s BIG Weekend'.
The title sequence is combination of live action footage of the shows presenters, combined with Motion Graphics, which result in a fast paced journey where we follow the presenters making their way across a construction site, dodging slime and other falling obstacles!
Pixel DNA were tasked with designing all of the shows design elements from the logo and the title sequence through to all of the shows graphical content and promotional materials.
"Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" Opening Stings
Big Weekend Stings - Nickelodeon from Pixel DNA on Vimeo.
A range of different Motion Graphics Stings created as intro’s to games played on the show. Each game was given it’s own look and feel, and each sting was created to reflect the nature of the game it was representing. Logo designs were also designed for each game, and Hi-Resolution artwork was created for use on large scale prints to be displayed in [Nickelodeon UK's] studio.
You can also view Nickelodeon UK's "Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" trailer which Nickelodeon UK and Ireland used to promote their "Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" morning block here - NICKELODEON / Big Weekend Promo (2010). Nickelodeon UK's "Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" trailer was created by East London design and animation studio "Versus".Also, from modern marketing and media news website The Drum:
Pixel DNA has designs on Nickelodeon's Big Weekend
Sheffield agency Pixel DNA has created the brand and title sequence for new Nickelodeon show 'Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend'.
The Sheffield agency was tasked with creating all of the show's design elements including graphical content and promotional materials.
Marc Tingle, Creative Director at Pixel DNA says: “Being a brand new show, it has been a fantastic opportunity for us to be involved from day one, and be responsible for creating all of the creative and visual elements for the show's look and feel.”
Also, from the official website of music composer David Arnold, who composed the "Jamie & Anna's Big Weekend" theme tune for Nickelodeon UK:
‘Jamie & Anna’s Big Weekend’ Theme for Nickelodeon
The theme tune for Nickelodeon’s new Saturday morning show Jamie & Anna’s Big Weekend was written, recorded, arranged and produced entirely in-house by David Arnold Music. The brief called for a “Big Show style and credentials”, and required that it should“…incorporate a big band, showbiz sound (“Live From London”) and be recorded with real instrumentation including live drums, guitars, saxes and brass”
This gave the team a great opportunity to flex their creative muscles – with stunning results, as you can hear. So slick is the final result that one industry insider commented that when he heard it he wondered if the job had gone to an American production company, saying “it sounds as if it was recorded in Hollywood”!

Nickelodeon recently had us create this image campaign that features both their talent from live-action shows and animated characters. In order to connect both worlds, we created an abstract environment using rear and frontal projections on a stage and shot the talent live, using CG sparingly.
The music used in the above video of Nickelodeon's 2011 image campaign was created by sound designers Sacred Noise.
